It has been the all-purpose training standard for decades — handmade in Thailand from genuine cowhide leather with a 3-layer dense foam weighted toward the knuckle zone for clear punch feedback and a compact profile that keeps the hand mobile for clinching and elbow work. The trade-offs are well-documented and deliberate: the short velcro cuff prioritises mobility over wrist protection, making it unsuitable for fighters with pre-existing wrist problems. The padding is purposely firm — designed for feel and feedback rather than maximum cushioning — which means it is not a heavy sparring glove.
